(A/N: Sky's POV)

I looked out over the balcony of my room at the bustling kingdom below. I sighed, thinking about the day I'd had. At the present moment in time, “slightly upset' would be an understatement for my mood. Today was my birthday, my 21st birthday to be exact, what is definitely meant to be a major milestone. And everyone had forgotten it. Even Alesa. Not a kiss from her, no birthday tackles from Mitch and Jerome, no hugs from Jason and Ty, not even a smile from Quentin and Ian. Red and Snow hadn't even wished me a happy birthday like they always did. No party, no presents, no cake. Damn, I had wanted a cake, but with no-one remembering, Cupquake hadn't even given it a second thought. I'd dropped hints everywhere; what I'd like, what the date was, everything. But I'd gotten nowhere. Absolutely nowhere.

My gaze was cast down to the main courtyard of my castle where Red, Mitch, Jerome, Jason and Snow had just got back from a couple of rounds of Hunger Deans. They'd invited me but I was too miserable to go. Then Ty ran out, almost tripping over his feet as he jumped the stairs three at a time. He look almost scared. Red, of course, being the protective older sister that she is, sprinted towards him. She'd obviously seen the look on his face. I heard their voices float up as Ty started rambling.
“You've got to see this... It's not right,” Ty panted, leaning on Jerome for support.
“What happened?” Jason asked, starting to look fearful himself, “What is it?” Ty didn't say a word; he just pointed towards the doors. The small group looked at each other before sprinting inside. What could've shook Ty up so bad? I didn't have to wait to find the answer.

Knocking came from the other side of the wooden door as I walked inside my room. It was the same pattern that was used for emergencies and an annoying one at that. Three fast knocks and then the name of the person you wanted. I opened the door to find Jason about to knock again.
“What?” I asked, slightly annoyed. They'd only just started paying attention to me now? Good Lord.
“It's an emergency. Come quick. Big trouble,” Jason stammered between breaths. What could be this big?  I wondered as I sprinted down the stairs with Jason, What happened? We reached the doors of the large dining room, the central part of the castle. Jason gingerly opened the doors and ushered me inside. It was pitch black.
I walked in but couldn't see a thing, though I did hear something that sounded like, “Ow, Jerome. That was my foot.” It sort of sounded like Snow but then the doors closed, sending an echoing bang throughout the room.
“What?” I spun around to where I thought Jason was standing but there was no-one there. I stumbled through the darkness towards the light-switch but was tackled to the ground by something large. The lights blazed to life as the yell of  'SURPRISE!' echoed throughout the room and probably throughout the entire castle.

The large 'thing' that had tackled me was actually the Benja and the Bacca. Jason had been the one to turn on the light. And all around the room, there were butter coloured streamers, balloons even a squid pinatá! Everyone was there, even Captain Sparkly himself! “Well, what do ya say, Biggums? We done good?” I turned my head as Mitch and Jerome got off of me.
“You did all of this? For me?” I stammered; I was stunned. There I was, thinking they'd forgotten me when they had been planning all of this?
“Well, it was kinda the girls' idea,” Jerome smirked as he helped me to my feet. Jason, Ty, Red, Snow and Alesa walked over, grinning from ear to ear.
“So the emergency was just a ruse?” I asked, looking at Ty who was failing to hide his smirk.
“Yep,” Snow smiled, popping the 'p' and bouncing on her heels, “Jason's idea.” Alesa smiled; she's still figuring Snow out.
“So, never, ever, think that we've forgotten you, Adam. Never,” Ty said as he slung an arm around my shoulder. Tyler came rushing over, almost skipping from his excitement.
“Come over to the pinatá; Bodil says there's a surprise!” he smirked, like he knew what it was.

I looked at Red who just put her hands in the air; the universal gesture for 'I don't know. Don't ask me' Our group of eight walked over to where Bodil was with a large stick hefted over his shoulder.
“Who's first?” Bodil smirked, his Bulgarian accent strong.
“I am,” I smiled, stepping forward to grab the baton.
“Three hits,” Tyler called from where he was, standing with Brice and Jordan. I swung once and missed.
“Strike one!” Brice called. I swung again with the same result. “Strike two!” Brice called again. Third time's the charm, right? Wrong.
“Strike three! You're out!” Bodil squealed. He might have a plan going with Tyler.
I grumbled, “This is rigged.”
“Alright, Budder Boy's had a go; now I'm going to try,” Red smirked as I handed her the baton. She swung and missed the first time. Giggles erupted from everyone who had decided to watch the 'spectacular' show. Red glared around the room and the laughter stopped. She swung again and, this time, the squid burst open in a shower of water and ink sacks. Unfortunately, Red got covered in it.
“BODIL!!!” She yelled as Bodil ran out of the room laughing. She sprinted after him, yelling curses and screaming insults. Mitch, Jerome and Ty rolled around on the floor, tears of laughter running down their faces.
“Mitch, she's gonna come back and then you'll be in trouble,” Snow said through muffled giggles.
“Who cares? I'm her brother; she can't hurt me,” came Mitch's choked reply. He still couldn't stand.
“Mate, I think that means she can do a lot to you,” Brice smiled. Mitch shut up very quickly. Snow looked at Jerome, shaking her head, but she still couldn't get the smile off her face.
“Jerome, Mitch's isn't the only one that Red can hurt,” she smirked.
“Chill, sis. I can run faster then Mitch,” Jerome laughed as he used Jason's shoulder to haul himself up. Snow just rolled her eyes.

See, in amongst us, there is one really weird family tree. Mitch and Red are twins, Red being the older of the two. Sometimes, they are great together, sometimes they can't stand each other. Then there's Ty, who's their younger brother. Red's sort of in the middle of the two boys; having Mitch's easy going attitude and sense of humour and Ty's more serious outlook and temper. Except she's got more anger issues. Then Jerome, Mitch's best friend, daredevil extraordinaire and Snow, Red's best friend, one of the best at PVP. Jerome and Snow are so close, everyone considers them to be siblings. Then there's the relationships; Mitch with Snow and Red with Jason. It gets complicated but nobody cares.

Getting over the shock of the Bodil's 'idea', everyone started to mingle, chatting and joking. At least, we thought it was over. Five minutes after she left, Red walked back through the double doors, the biggest smirk on her face. As she walked back over to us, Mitch called out to her.
“So, what did you do with the Bodil?” he asked.
“Well, Bodil will probably not be coming back for a while. Until he figures out how to untie himself from the flagpole.” Red smiled as Jason wrapped an arm around her shoulders. She must have gone and changed 'cause she was dry.
“That'll keep him occupied,” I smirked. Then Jordan took to the small stage that was next to one of the walls.
“Alright everybody,” he called out via a microphone, “Now, what's gonna happen is that we'll start with a bit of dancing!” Half the crowd cheered, but the other half didn't look so happy, Mitch included.

“Oh, Mitch, come on. Let's go dance!” Snow jumped up and down like a little kid. Mitch looked a little uncomfortable.
“Um, maybe later,” he smiled nervously but then he got an idea, “But Jerome will.”
Now it was Jerome's turn to look uncomfortable, “No thanks, but Ty's a pretty good dancer.”
“Okay then. Come on Ty!” Snow dragged Ty to the floor. Now, I've known Ty for years and he has never been able to dance. This should be good. We all watched as Snow showed Ty what to do and then the music started. Mental note: Never get Ty to dance again. It was hilarious to see Snow drag Ty around the floor with him stepping on her toes and running into everyone. I leaned over to where the twins were leaning against each other.
“Are you ever gonna let him forget this?” I smirked, gesturing to where Ty had almost tripped.
They looked at me like I'd grown another head then smirked, “Never.” Jason and Jerome laughed so hard at that. Ty shot a glare our way but I just returned it with a smile. That annoyed him even more. After about half an hour of watching Ty fail miserably at dancing, Snow getting frustrated with him and the occasional glance out the window to see how Bodil was doing with his predicament, the dancing stopped. The first thing Ty did as he walked back over to us with Snow following him was punch Jerome's arm.
“OW! What the hell was that for?” Jerome winced, rubbing where he'd been punched.
“The last half an hour,” Ty rolled his eyes.
Jordan took the stage again, “Alright, now everybody's been worn out and Ty's finished embarrassing himself.” Everyone started laughing and Ty's face went bright red, well, at least the half of his face you could see. “It's time to eat!” Jordan continued with a smile.

Everyone walked towards the table, talking and laughing. Now everyone was saying 'Happy Birthday' to me, even people who I never really talk to. It was amazing to see that so many people had turned up for me. I took the place at the head of the table with Alesa at Tyler's insistence as Bodil walked back inside; Little Lizard and Tiny Turtle, two Youtubers who I'd heard of but never played with, had gone out to save him along with Lachlan. Bodil took one look at Red and started smiling. The smile was not returned. Go figure. We spent, like two hours just talking among ourselves about everything under the Aether, eating as we went, just having fun. Then, when the table was cleared and Jerome, Mitch and Brotato had almost slipped into food comas, Jason, who was sitting next to me, gave me a nudge.
“Say something,” he whispered. I wasn't sure what I'd say to...I don't know, over a hundred people, but I guess I had to. I stood up and everyone fell silent, Mitch, Jerome and Brotato lifted their heads and, all in all, everyone was looking at me expectantly. I took a deep breath and began to talk.

“Um, well, thank you all for coming. I actually thought I'd been forgotten until I was crash tackled by those two,” I pointed at Mitch and Jerome, who smiled and waved as the rest of us laughed. “This has to be the best party I've had. Even though I'm not in Hawaii as Tyler and Bree promised,” I glanced over at Tyler and his girlfriend Bree, who were somewhere down the table, “But oh well. Even with the minor 'disruptions,” everyone looked at Bodil who just laughed, “and the dancing,” Ty went bright red again, “this is still the best buttery day ever.”
Tyler stood up with his glass in hand, “I propose a toast to the bestest butterful day ever!” And so we toasted to my 21st birthday, a 'butterful' birthday at that.
This is Sky's Birthday one-shot, a little late but here all the same. Enjoy!
